Today we introduce Scribe, a new Telegram bot designed to integrate voice transcription, conversation understanding, and reminder management directly into chats.
Scribe works on the actual content of conversations: it listens to voice messages, interprets written or spoken requests, and uses what is said in the chat to provide coherent responses and actions, without introducing new commands or actions to learn.
Fast transcription for everyone
Scribe is designed to understand the conversation and keep track of it. It can transcribe voice messages in groups and private chats at impressive speed thanks to support from Telegram's new generative AI bot APIs.
Voice messages immediately become usable within the conversation: they can be reviewed or used as a basis for other requests without having to listen to everything again.
Responses that consider what has been said
Scribe can answer questions using information already present in the chat. When necessary, the bot retrieves relevant messages and generates a response as consistent as possible with what has been discussed, rather than providing generic answers.
This allows, for example, clarifying previously made decisions or retrieving information without manually scrolling through the entire chat history.
Currently, Scribe supports search only in text messages, but soon it will be able to handle other types of messages and events, providing increasingly complete and reliable information.
Natural language reminders
Reminder management works like a normal conversation. You can ask Scribe to create one or more reminders using natural language. For example:
- “Remind me about meetings on Monday at 10 AM and Wednesday at 6 PM”
- “Remind me to drink water every 2 hours from 8 AM to 8 PM”
- “Remind Paolo to be ready at 8 PM”
Scribe will create the reminders and send a message in the chat where they were created, at the right time, both in private chats and groups.
Organizing conversations
Thanks to the new Telegram bot APIs, conversations are automatically organized into topics. If you want to rename one, just ask Scribe.
This way, you can leverage the power of the best AI models while keeping everything organized, directly from Telegram.
Scribe and Doublegram AI
The new Scribe beta focuses on listening, understanding, reminders, and organization within Telegram chats, becoming your personal assistant or your group's assistant.
If, on the other hand, your goal is creating content, generating posts and images, or managing your channels, the suitable bot is Doublegram AI.
In other words, Scribe helps you manage and remember what happens in chats, while Doublegram AI helps you create content and interact with your audience.
Language support and availability
Scribe officially supports multiple languages for the interface and system messages: Italian, English, Spanish, French, and German.
Thanks to artificial intelligence, the bot is already able to understand and handle requests in other languages as well, especially for voice transcription and message interpretation. Language support will be further expanded in future updates.
Scribe is currently available in public beta, accessible to everyone.
The beta will remain open until February 18. After that, while voice message transcription will remain free for everyone, the other features will be reserved for Doublegram Labs subscribers.
How to contribute
Anyone who wants to try Scribe and help improve it can do so by following the channel @doublegram_news and sending feedback via the bot Doublegram Help Bot.
The public beta is an opportunity to discover how Scribe can become a useful assistant in daily life, team work, or communities. We thank in advance anyone willing to contribute with suggestions!
